Hello! I am a family nurse practitioner student at Troy University. I am currently seeking a preceptor for 90 clinical hours in pediatrics for this semester. I had someone set up but she had to back out last minute. I have tirelessly searched for a preceptor with in-person visits to clinics, phone calls, emails, and personal contacts without any luck. I paid $125 for the preceptor pass. It seems that you have to know someone in order to get someone to agree to precept you. I have found this to be the hardest part of the program so far. I am willing to travel anywhere in the state. I do have 17 years of pediatric nursing experience. Any contact information, recommendations, or suggestions would be tremendously appreciated.
